mango design co was once again asked by rize properties to kit out some display suites in one of their new condo buildings… this time ‘the wave’ in sunny surrey. our main goal? don’t make it feel like surrey!
for the fraser suite, we aimed to appeal to a slightly more mature audience than our other 2 suites, but we couldn’t help throw in a number of whimsical & playful touches. again, many of the furnishings were reused from our previous work with rize properties … like the amazing mid-century teak wall unit… but we reinvented the space with bold wallpapers. in the dining space is fornasetti’s 1940’s bold & bubbly ‘peonie’ design, produced by cole and son. in the master bedroom is fschumacher’s ‘fern tree’… an abstracted motif of stylized fronds silhouetted against a solid ground, forming a graphic diamond pattern. and in the guest bedroom, clarke & clarke’s papillon design from their floribunda collection.
