east 19th avenue

a simple plan to renovate the kitchen & bathroom of this north vancouver home turned into a complete overhaul of the main floor & basement to accomodate a growing family of 4…err 5!

on the main floor, we removed walls allowing for a new south facing kitchen & dining area with direct access to the existing deck. a large south facing window & french doors bring light through the open living area & a small powder room was added in the hall. the original wainscoting in the hall was refurbished and the lovely front door was stripped back to it’s original wooden glory.

in the basement, the existing floor was dug out and a new slab poured, increasing ceiling height to almost 9 feet. the bright modern basement now houses an open playroom, guest bedroom/den, bathroom & laundry/mudroom with a light grey concrete floor throughout & open fir stairs.
