mango design co turned an 80’s eyesore into a modern home for 2 large dogs and their accompanying humans. the 1200 sqft, 3 level condo lacked cohesion & flow with an odd mix of colours, patterns, ceiling drops and obtrusive walls. we tore down & rearranged walls where possible for space & light to flow, created clever built-in cabinetry solutions throughout and finished with a smooth, modern material palette.

features of this yaletown condo include a welcoming foyer with plenty of storage, a steel & hemfir railing with aircraft cabling at the stairs, a custom mango-designed murphy-bed/storage/desk system in the den, built-in wardrobes in the master bedroom, a kitchen peninsula to open the space & a floating wood eating counter, appliance garage and display cabinetry.

due to the dogs, durability was key! a large format grey porcelain tile replaced the mixture of flooring throughout. natural hemfir doors, warm bamboo, white wood & american walnut millwork, silvery grey walls, chrome fixtures, modern lighting, furniture & window coverings complete this contemporary renovation.
